PROVINCIAL PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
Mission
To ensure impartiality in the recruitments, transfers, promotions and disciplinary control of Provincial Public Officers free of all extraneous influences thus ensuring that officers in the Western Provincial Public Service extend their maximum contribution to achieve the anticipated objectives.
Main Functions
a. Exercise of powers with regard to appointment, transfer and disciplinary control of the officers in the Western Provincial Public Service in pursuance of the delegation of powers by the Hon. Governor.
b. Determination of the appeals submitted by the employees of the Western Provincial Public Service with regard to the conditions relevant to the transfer and disciplinary matters, in terms of the provisions in Section 32(3) of the Provincial Council Act No. 42 of 1987.
