To engage in a process helpful for the development of attitudes among Co-operative Staffs by improving the qualitative nature of the staffs with a view to encouraging to elevate the co-operative entrepreneurship to keep pace with the present economic reforms and globalizations, requirements, so that facilities and the facilities on an equal basis from the competitive market could be provided with to the consumer.

Mission
Rendition of a maxims service to the consumer by creating a systematic employee administration within the structure of western provincial co-operative societies.

The objective and the functions
To employ the employees of the Co-operative societies located within the province in the service under the Clause 17.4 of the 13th constitution, grant promotion to them , send them on retirement and other related matters regarding the employees..Details regarding the services being rendered by the institution
I. Functions relevant to appointments ,promotion, sending on retirement and disciplinary activities of Western
Province Co- operative employees.
II. To prepare schemes of recruitment and mark necessary amendments to the same.
III. To prepare schemes of forward by the employees who were not satisfied with the disciplinary orders.
IV. Activities regarding salaries and allowances.
To issue with legal advices to Co- operative Societies regarding administrative problems arising from time to time.
V. To issue with specific instructions to update enactments and regulations.
VI. To consider the appeals and the requests to be forwarded by the employees outside the disciplinary activities
and arrive at decisions accordingly.
VII. To educate the authorities and the employs of Co-operatives Societies, regarding function of co-operative
Employees’ Commission, emactments, regulations and so on.
VIII. Judicial proceedings.
The service presently being rendered by the instruction . All services mentioned under No 09 above are being performed
The functions expected to be performed in future
I. Attention should be focused on the enactment, the regulation and the circulars existing at present and they
should
be update so as to keep pace with the present time.
II. While all the schemes of recruitment prepared at present in respect of recruitments for posts have been amended
since the year of 1994, to amend them so as to suit the present time requirements having focused attention on
the same.
III. As the present staff in the service is inadequate for the commission, to get improved the internal and he field
functions after the recruitment of an adequate staff.
IV. To computerize all information’s and pave the way for the enhancement of the efficiency of functions.
V. To better the relation salary scales assigned to the employees of Co-operative Societies.
VI. To bring about the progress in the relevant functions by the preventions of a systematic training to the staff.
