Vision
Our vision is for the Western Provincial Co- operative movement to become the first among all the Co-operative Societies in Sri Lanka through the production of Good and Services and the efficiency in the sale fraught with prosperity and Community empowered management .

Mission
Our mission is to set up Co-operative entrepreneurial organizations for the production of Goods and Services and the sale so as to enable to increase the Provision of employment , the revenue ,the savings And the economization by empowering the people of the Western Province in accordance with the seven – fold co-operative policies and also to lend the support to enhance the public standard of living of the people in the province by uplifting the co-operative productivity through a powerful and efficient management.

The objectives and the
Functions
To bring all existing multi – purpose co-operative societies to the profit earning situation,
To expand the existing market share on the provision and sale of essential food items up to a degree of 30
percent,
To augment the amount of savings deposits and capital assets by 100 percent,
To increase the present amounts of the total co-operative society membership of the province by 100 per cent,
To initiate an insurance system and a pension scheme to ensure the Social Security of the Co-operative
Community,
To build up relations with national , provincial and international Co-operative organizations and institutions,
To up list the vocational skills of the Co-operative Community,
To introduce new rules, regulations and policies for the modernization of the
co-operative movement, For the enhancement of the economic and social standard of epeople in the province by
minimizing the level of poverty increasing the generation of employment.
