Mission :
Exercise of powers and discharge of functions vested in the Governor by the constitution including the executive power of the Provincial Council vested in him by article 154 C of the Constitution.

Objectives and Functions : 

The main Objectives & Functions of the Governor are as follows :

Execution of executive power concerning of the Provision of statutes on matters relating to the Provincial Co uncial , execution of executive powers relating to the administration of Financial control and policy direction in respect of the Provincial Council fund and execution of statutory functions in relation to the proper administration of the all matters connected to the Provincial Public Service and in the exercise of the powers vested in terms of the 13th amendment to the constitution of Sri Lanka and the Provincial Council Act.
